Progress on changes to training

Transporting New Zealand is pleased to see Minister for Vocational Education Penny Simmonds has released an updated consultation document on the future system for vocational education and work-based training space.

CE Dom Kalasih says it is something the industry has been closely involved with.

“It was an agenda item on meetings we had with previous Transport Minster Simeon Brown and Minister Simmonds last year.

“It appears that the “all of industry” approach to earlier consultation has been successful, and in particular, our desire and insistence that industry be placed front and centre of standard setting and governance has been heard, in light of the options now presented.”
