1. Driver Training & Assessment
2. Fleet Composition & Vehicle Management
Step 1 of 11
Emissions reduction presents great challenges and opportunities for road freight, the industry that moves 93% of freight tonnage in New Zealand. Many of the more transformative zero emissions technologies for heavy vehicles are still in their infancy, and tight margins and the large number of freight operators present a challenge to investment in decarbonisation. However, there are many practical steps that operators can take to improve efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. Completing this Green Fleet Assessment allows operators to review what actions they have already taken, and identify what further opportunities there are for reducing their emissions footprint. The results can be shared with management, staff, and customers, prompting constructive conversations and promoting a commitment to decarbonisation.
All responses are anonymised. Transporting New Zealand may collect aggregated data to generate general insights into decarbonisation and fleet management practices. No identifying information will be collected or stored.
