Cook Strait Ferries Update
Ensuring reliable Cook Strait ferry capacity through to 2029 remains a critical issue for the road freight industry and wider New Zealand supply chain.
Transporting New Zealand, with support from the Marlborough Chamber of Commerce, hosted a major industry update in Blenheim bringing together Ferry Holdings, KiwiRail, StraitNZ and Port Marlborough to discuss ferry resilience, procurement, landside infrastructure and managing freight demand through to the arrival of the new ferries in 2029.
