NZTA Heavy Vehicle Productivity Reform

There’s been a steady growth in high productivity heavy vehicles over the past several years, but NZTA’s heavy vehicle permitting regulations haven’t been keeping up.

That’s why Transporting New Zealand, supported by other heavy vehicle industry groups, is supporting the first phase of the Government’s heavy vehicle productivity reforms, and calling for Phase 2 to go even further.
Our combined submission recommends specific amendments to the Land Transport Rules that would get more efficient heavy vehicles transporting our freight task more productively and safely. You can read our submission below or download the PDF here.
