With regret, the Road Transport Forum (RTF) Board decided at its meeting yesterday (Tuesday, 31 August) to cancel The Road Ahead 2021 Transporting New Zealand Conference, which was scheduled to be held on 25-26 September in Invercargill.
The decision to cancel the event was made because of the uncertainty around alert level changes throughout New Zealand, as we battle the emergence of the Delta variant of Covid-19.
Given this ongoing uncertainty, no decision has been made on a replacement conference event.
We know those speaking, exhibiting, and planning to attend will be disappointed to miss the conference, but the circumstances are beyond our control and we must act to keep people safe, and follow the Government’s Covid-19 rules.
Speakers, exhibitors and people who have already registered will be contacted directly by the RTF.
