Our associations

We represent three associations that work with their members on local issues.

Road Transport Association New Zealand (RTANZ) based in Christchurch, is made up of four regional associations spread throughout New Zealand. It represents trucking operators of all types and sizes from owner drivers to large fleet operators.

National Road Carriers (NRC) based in Auckland, has more than 80 years of history providing support to road freight transport operators. While NRC has a strong owner driver membership, it has spread its representation nationwide and now encompasses all sizes of operations.

New Zealand Trucking Association (NTA) based in Christchurch, represents owner drivers, large fleet operators and corporate partners nationwide.

The associations:

  • represent their members’ interests with local and regional government and organisations
  • provide advice on establishing and running a transport business
  • advise on compliance with local bylaws, rules and law
  • offer members-only buying opportunities.
